Nancy Kay Sterling

Nancy Kay Sterling (Faglie), mother to Billie Jean Sterling and Jerry Wayne Sterling II, passed away on Monday, September 30, 2024, at the age of 75. Her final days were spent peacefully at her home in Tow, Texas, surrounded by her family.

Known for her love of travel and visiting friends, Nancy will be dearly missed by all who knew her. Nancy’s family asks that she be remembered for the joy she brought to others in life not the sadness in her passing.

She is survived by daughter Billie Jean Sterling and son Jerry Wayne Sterling II (Ruby), grandchildren Travis Gamble (Denisa), Rebekah Gamble Falke (Austin), Brittany Gamble, AJ Twomey (Jamie), Netisha Kilgore (Brad Githens), Dollie Twomey. Great grandchildren, Hunter Gamble, Blaine Gamble, Payton Gamble, Lily James Falke, Autumn Ray Falke, Andie Twomey, Brailey Twomey, and Addison Twomey. Sisters Lita Neilsen (Christian), Dawn Shanks (Larry), Letha Sterling (Milton-deceased) and brother Roger Faglie (Priscilla) along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family.

Nancy was preceded in death by her loving husband Jerry Wayne Sterling and daughters Barbara Christine Comeau and Theresa Kay Sterling, brothers Edward Dean, David Walter, and sisters Barbara (Bobbie) Jo Hyden, Evelyn June Dubec and her parents Ed and Dollie Faglie.

As per Nancy’s wish a private family burial will take place at Fiskville Cemetery, Austin, Texas. The family will be hosting a Celebration of Life for Nancy’s extended family and friends in the near future.
