Dear Horne Family,

I received your letter today. Thank you so much for telling me about Iris. She was a beautiful person, fellow musician and mentor.    She was an outstanding role model for me.  Such strength and grace in one woman is a rare combination that your mother possessed. She watched out for me when I was a young woman in the church.  She encouraged me to marry my husband-which was wonderful advice.  Your mother was one of the few people that stand out in my life. My heart is with you all and my prayers are being lifted up for your family.

Iris was a lovely sister in law and a very good friend and I will always remember her loyalty, kindness and sense of fun.

Mike,  I am saddened to learn of your loss.  My sincere condolences to you and the rest of the Horne family during this most difficult time.

Dear Mike, Mr. Horne and all the Horne family,  Iris was a warm and loving woman and she touched many lives for the better.  We are sorry for your loss....know that you are all in our prayers.

Paul and family, I am so sorry for your loss.  Iris was such a sweetheart and I so enjoyed getting to know her when she moved to Burnet.  She loved the Lord and loved people.  To Iris I would say: Well done, good and faithful servant!  You have now entered into the joy of your Master!  I'll see you again.

We will always remember Iris for her kindness, love for her family and friends and enthusiasm.  She always made people feel welcome and brighten everyones lives.  She had such a positive impact on all who knew her.  Rest peacefully, with all our love.

Dear Paul and family
May I offer my sincere sympathy and recognition of the big gap that the death of Iris left?
She was a great and loving sister in law for me, who persistently kept in touch over many years, even when I did not.
I was grateful that we had the chance, two years ago, to catch up and have a long conversation. Here again I was deeply moved by her kindness and emotional generosity.
I loved her quirky sense of humour and admired her joy of life. She will be deeply missed.
A big hug and love for you all.  I will be with you in spirit.

Horne Family we are sorry for you loss.  I remember your Mom and family fondly when I lived in Indonesia from 1978 to 1982.  Those were the happiest memories of my childhood.  I remember my family  welcoming Paul, Iris, Anne and Michael Horne to their house with open arms before my last deployment to Iraq in 2006.  We had a very nice visit and memories of Indonesia.
