Su Bin was born on November 10th, 1927 in Tawau, Malaysia. After marriage, he moved to Brunei in 1954 in pursuit of a better life. He worked hard and was well known as the manager of Loh Ah Khiun & Son Shell Service Station in Seria. He accomplished his goal and successfully raised a family of 6 children with his beloved wife, Luk Moi Lo, who predeceased him.
Su Bin immigrated to Canada in 1984 with his son William. He had a positive attitude and adjusted to the new environment well. Over the years, he was joined by his children, who also immigrated from Brunei. Now his grandchildren live in BC, Alberta, Ontario and Singapore.
Su Bin enjoyed fishing, cooking, watching Chinese shows, NBA and wrestling on TV, playing mahjong on iPad and travelling with family.
Su Bin is survived by his children - Jane, Eric and wife Li Fong, Bob and wife Jenny, Irene and husband Philip, Alex and wife Bella, William and wife Lydia, and his grandchildren – Emily and husband Donny, Merilyn, Jacqueline, Edward, Gabriel, Terence, Allen, Lawrence, Darren, Jamie, Tiana, Curtis, and Erina.
Visitation will take place at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 3789 Royal Oak Avenue, Burnaby, BC, on Sunday, March 3rd, from 7:30pm to 9:30pm, with the Cremation Service taking place on March 4th at West Coast Crematorium at 12:30pm. An urn committal service will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park on Wednesday, March 6th at 2:00pm.
