Ruza (Pocrnic) Vukelic

It is with the heaviest, and the most broken of hearts that we announce the passing of Ruza Vukelic. Her beautiful soul ever so gently left her body on the early morning of December 21, 2022. She was surrounded by the everlasting love of her family at Royal Columbian Hospital. Ruza was predeceased by her youngest child Kate on December 20, 2017. She leaves behind her loving and devoted husband of 47 years Milan (also known as Mike), daughter Milana with husband Ivan (who was also like a second son to her), and son Martin with wife Irina and grandchildren Maximus, Magnus, and Mateo. Ruza also leaves behind her brother Ante Pocrnic, family, and friends in Croatia and across Canada.

There are not enough words that can express the depth of beauty and love that was her. Ruza was loved beyond measure by her family. We will never be the same without her, and we would not be who we are if it was not for her.

We will look for you always in all that is beautiful until the day when we can be with you once again.

In lieu of flowers the family is requesting for kindness to be spread in her loving memory as Ruza was an angel on this earth who had the kindest soul.

There will be a Mass at 11:00am on Friday January 6, 2023 at Immaculate Heart of Mary Croatian Parish, 3105 E. 1st Avenue Vancouver, BC. Entombment to follow South Mausoleum, Ocean View Burial Park 4000 Imperial Street Burnaby, BC.
