On September 2nd 2020, Bob passed away peacefully at the age of 87 years. Born in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Bob was predeceased by his loving wife, Rose Marie Regan in 2006. Bob is survived by his six children; Dan (Tracy), Kevin (Debbie), Terry (Mimi), Stephen (Susan), Michelle (Greg) and Suzanne (Gord); grandchildren Olivia, Jaymes, Lindsay, Christopher, Leah, Terra, Jennifer, Justin, Emma, Hannah, Ava, Mark and Eric; and great-grandchildren Holly, Benjamin, Scott and Ellie as well as a great many sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, former colleagues and friends. Bob loved his family and was blessed with a large one. He was an avid tennis and golf player and competed well into his later years including at the B.C. Senior Summer Games. He was active all his life with his church, particularly with the choir, and his strong and rich voice will be missed by all. Bob was a focal point in his children’s and grandchildren’s lives logging countless hours supporting them at sporting events and concerts across almost six decades. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated with immediate family at Saint Helen’s Church in Burnaby on September 9, 2020 with Father Alessandro Lovato celebrant. The Regan family would like to express their sincere appreciation to the choir of St. Helen’s church for participating in the service and for their love and support for Dad (and our mother) through the years. The family would also like to thank the staff of Saint Michael’s Care Centre in Burnaby and the Swedish Canadian Assisted Living Residence in Burnaby for all their support, care and compassion for Dad through his last years and months.
Thank you, Dad for all you did for each of us throughout our lives and for the wonderful memories. May God bless you and keep you. You will be forever in our hearts.
