It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Phillip Blundell after an eight month battle with pancreatic cancer. He will be greatly missed by his wife Michelle; sons Alexander age 3 and Matthew age 1; parents Peter and Lynda Blundell, sister Margo Zimmerman (Brad), much loved nephews Travis age 10 and Aden age 8; the extended DeYro family; and Aunts, Uncles, cousins and many friends.
Phillip was born and raised in Vancouver and attended Renfrew and Windermere Schools. He was an avid BC Lions and Vancouver Canucks fan. He drove in the PNE’s demolition derby for many years and later drove in the derby at Agrifair. He loved Halloween and had great fun decorating his home. He was a huge Star Wars fan and had a large collection of everything Star Wars. He was a lover of Siamese cats, and over the years had four of them, all named Puss. He was always willing to help family and friends repair their homes or cars. He enjoyed doing the Grouse Grind as well as snowshoeing on Grouse.
A memorial service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, September 3, 2021 at St. Mary’s Church, 5251 Joyce Street, Vancouver, B.C.
