It is with great sadness we announce the death of Margaret (Peg) McMillan of Langley, B.C. She was born and raised in Girvin, Saskatchewan, daughter of the late James and Ida Ross. Predeceased by her sister; Jean Riddel, brother; William (Bill) Ross, sister-in-law Elizabeth and beloved husband; William (Bill) McMillan. Survived by her husband's 2 daughters; Jeannie (David) Mitchell and their daughters; Laura and Meredith and Betty (Ed) Andrichuk and their daughters; Cori and Sandra and their children; Anna, Sophia and Emelia, along with several nieces and nephews. Also her son; James (Anne) Houseman of Burnaby, British Columbia, formerly of Central Butte, Saskatchewan and grandson Ryan (Jennifer) Houseman. Peg was a Nursing Graduate from the Regina Grey Nuns Hospital in 1942. Following graduation, she nursed at Central Butte, Herbert and Maryfield, Saskatchewan before moving to Langley, British Columbia. Peg worked with Dr. H. Rutz until her retirement in 1985. She loved her Saskatchewan roots and never missed a Rider football game loving the green and white. Then again, never say anything negative about Saskatchewan, as she would tell you very firmly, we started Medicare with Tommy Douglas, John Diefenbaker, as Prime Minister of Canada and the grain we grow for your daily bread. There will be an announcement for a memorial tea at a later date. Inurnment will follow as she will be placed alongside her husband William (Bill) at Murrayville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Langley Memorial Hospital Foundation in her memory. Condolences may be offered to the family at www.bellburnaby.com.
