Kim passed away on December 12, 2024 after a brave fight with Cancer. He was predeceased by his parents, James and Annie Cairns and his beloved and loyal dog Sally.
Kim leaves behind: his sister Heather and her husband Barry and their children Michelle and Ryan; his sister Linda and her children Teresa, Tony and Christina; his sister Diana and her children Trevor and Nicole. Kim also leaves behind his great nieces and nephews: John, Mia, Aiden, Ryan, Kaia and Waylon.
At a young age Kim became devoted to auto mechanics and dedicated his life to the field. He was a legacy of his time in the automotive industry, ending his career as an Instructor at BCIT. He will be greatly missed by family, friends and all who knew him.

In lieu of flowers, the family encourages friends and relatives to donate to The BC Cancer Foundation or to the BC-SPCA which are two charities very close to Kim's heart. There are links below to the donation pages. Those wishing to still send flowers, please have them delivered to Forest Lawn Funeral Home no later than 2:00pm on Friday, Dec. 27th.
