Filomena Iacovetta

With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Filomena Iacovetta on May 6th, 2024 in Vancouver, BC. Born in Civitanova del Sannio, P. Isernia, Italy on February 7th, 1929, Filomena was predeceased by her husband Nicola, sisters Adelina, Annunziata (Antonio), brother Domenico (Eutimia), parents Giuseppe and Clementina , parents-in-law Lidia and Italo and sister-in-law Giovanna (Damiano). She is survived by her beloved daughters, Lidia (Antonio) and Ita (Werner); granddaughters Connie (Mario), Nica (Michael), Veronica, and Juliana (Cole); great grandchildren Erica, Lorenzo, Giada, and Elisa; sister Concettina; brother-in-law Ernesto; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins in Canada and Italy. Filomena had a very full and happy life, immigrating to Vancouver 70 years ago. She loved spending time with her family and friends and was that one person that you could always count on for good advice, share a laugh with or reminisce with. Your family and friends miss you more than words can say but know that you left us without suffering and are now in Heaven. Rest in Peace our dearest mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, and friend – we will always love you. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Francis de Sales Church at 6610 Balmoral St, Burnaby, BC on Friday, May 17th, 2024, at 1:00pm. Entombment to follow at Ocean View Burial Park, South Mausoleum.
