A loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend, Chiang Sing passed away peacefully on August 22, 2019. He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Ching Harn, children Linda and Chi Tao, son-in-law Keat, daughter-in-law Monica, grandchildren Christine and James, brother Han Xing, sisters Sai Zhu, Sai Ying, Sai Yong, Sai Lin and Sai Li.
Born in Shanghai, China, Chiang Sing was the eldest of 7 siblings. He obtained his PhD in Mechanical Engineering from Imperial College London in 1959. After his marriage to the love of his life, Ching Harn, he returned to China and worked in research at the Chinese Academy of Science for 25 years. He taught at the Chinese University of Hong Kong before moving to Vancouver in 1994.
Chiang Sing loves classical music, ballroom dancing, reading, travelling and his daily walks in Burnaby’s Central Park. He was the most helpful, kind-hearted, principled, and optimistic man who was always there for his family and friends.
Chiang Sing and Ching Harn enjoyed many happy years together and travelled extensively. He will be deeply missed by his entire family. His memory will forever live in our hearts.
Funeral service will be held at 12pm followed by a reception at 1pm on Thursday September 5, 2019 at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, 3789 Royal Oak Ave, Burnaby, BC.
