It is with a heavy heart we say goodbye to a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Assunta passed away peacefully on October 8, 2024 at the age of 86. Assunta is survived by her loving husband of 66 years, Luigi; children Tony (Paulina), Pina (Joe), Dave (Antonella); granddaughters Anna (Clayton), Susie, Marisa, Tina and grandson Luie; sister Emma. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Augustine’s Parish on Tuesday, October 15, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. Entombment will follow at the Ocean View Burial Park Abbey Mausoleum.
In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to Diabetes Canada. Condolences may be offered to the family after the mass at St. Augustine’s Parish.
Assunta was loved by anyone who had the opportunity to meet her, as she treated them like a part of the family. We are going to miss her sense of humor, warm smile and a need to feed everyone that visited her at home. Not a day will go by that she will not be missed. Mamma (Nonna), you will be forever loved, and may you rest in peace.
