Carol Catherine Jones

Carol Catherine Jones passed away peacefully in her home on November 17th, 2016 after a 5-month battle with cancer. Carol was born to the late Dorothy and James Connors, July 6th, 1946, in Manchester, NH. She moved to California in the late 1960s, where she met and married Bill Jones. They lived together in Burbank, CA.

Carol spent the majority of her career working for Deaf and Disabled Services for AT&T, and then the State of California. She was a regional manager, and helped thousands of people across the state with their telecommunication needs. Carol was a strong advocate for people with special needs, and worked tirelessly to improve their lives.

Carol loved her family and friends, and adored her grandchildren. She was an avid reader, gardener, and loved to travel. She and Bill took numerous cruises to destinations like the Panama Canal and Alaska.

Carol is survived by her husband Bill, her children Chris (Wendy), Stephanie (Mike), her four grandchildren Brady, Kelly, Gavin and Catelyn, four brothers, a sister, and numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, Carol requested that donations be made to the Cancer Ward at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles. A Celebration of Life will be held at the Valley Funeral Home in Burbank on December 10th at 11:00am.
