Tommy "Buster" Davis

A visitation for Tommy will be held Saturday, November 9, 2024 at 10:00 AM at Memorial Funeral Chapel, 1515 South College Ave, Bryan, TX 77801. Funeral service will be held Saturday, November 9, 2024 at 11:00 AM, at the funeral home. Graveside will be held Saturday, November 9, 2024 at 3:00 PM at Davis Memorial Gardens, 838 Jackson Rd, Lufkin, TX 75904.

Tommy was born in San Augustine, Texas to Reverend James H. Davis Sr. and Semiria H. Davis. He later moved to Lufkin, Texas where he attended Dunbar High School. He became a formidable football athlete. Tommy then attended Tennessee A&I State University and graduated with a bachelor's degree. In addition, he attended Coppin State University and received a master's degree.

Because of his athletic skills he entered professional football and made it his career. He signed and played with "The San Diego Chargers", as well as "The Baltimore Colts".

Later, he met the love of his life, Ms. Brenda Davis in Baltimore, Maryland. They married and moved to Bryan, Texas and they created a beautiful love story.

Tommy is survived by his wife, Brenda Davis; daughter, Marquinta Richardson; sons, Tommy Davis II and Louis Davis; stepson, Marc Johnson; adopted son, Russell Montalvo; grandchildren, Jonathan Collier, Amashia Mabone, Mikala Johnson, Cassidy Johnson and Axel Montalvo; brother and sister-in-law, Frankie and Marion Davis; and numerous nieces and nephews.
