Thomas F. Hunn, 92, of Bryan, passed away Friday, July 14, 2017 at Generations for Senior Living in Bryan. A memorial service is scheduled for 11:00 AM, Saturday, July 22nd, 2017 at Memorial Funeral Chapel in Bryan, with Reverend Monsignor John A. McCaffrey officiating.
Tom was born January 2, 1925 in Medford, Wisconsin, the son of Frank J. and Mabel J. (Weber) Hunn. He joined the U.S. Navy at the early age of 16, upon leaving the service he met and married Faye M. Schuelke from Sturgis, South Dakota. They married on March 25, 1944 in Sundance, Wyoming. They had three children, James, Jean and John. Tom worked at the Sturgis Tribune until 1958 at which time they moved to Comfort, Texas. In 1960, they moved to Bryan, where he bought Wallace Printing Company and changed the name to Tom Hunn’s Wallace Printing Company until 1963. In 1964 he owned and operated H & K Printing Company in Bryan. He loved to bowl and belonged to several leagues. Tom was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. Tom and Faye loved to travel with their friends until later in life.
Mr. Hunn was preceded in death by his parents, mother-in-law, father-in-law, three brothers; seven sisters-in-law and eight brothers-in-law.
Survivors include his wife, Faye, of 73 years; his sister, Kay (Galen) Meirose; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, McGee Vansickle, Lois McInerney, Mamie (Kenny) Mailloux, Jerry Schuelke, Johnny Padgett; three children, James (Shirley) Hunn, Jean Huffman, John (Nelda) Hunn; seven grandchildren, Matthew (Jeff) Hunn, Sheila (Ron) Harpe Jason (Melinda) Collette, Daphne (William) Dowden, Chris (Tracey) Hunn, Michael (Jessica) Nichols, Jeremy (Stephanie) Nichols; 14 great-grandchildren, 14 great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
