Ronnie Joe Reed

Ronnie Joe Reed went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, November 30, 2014, after a three-month battle with cancer. Visitation will be from 6-8 PM on Friday, December 5, 2014 at Memorial Funeral Chapel in Bryan. A celebration of his life will be at 11 AM on Saturday, December 6, 2014 at Memorial Funeral Chapel in Bryan with Dr. Tim Owens officiating.

Ronnie was born in Bryan, Texas May 12, 1949 to J.R. and Peggy Reed, growing up with his sister Connie Reed Langford, he was a longtime resident of Bryan until he moved to Marbridge in Manchaca, Texas in 2009. Ronnie completed the Bryan ISD special education program in 1970.

Ronnie was a loving son, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend to all who were in his life. He touched so many with his compassion, loyalty, and gentle nature. His infectious laugh and zest for life will forever be remembered by those who loved and cherished him. Ronnie loved sports of all kinds and was a huge Texas A&M fan. He loved to meet new people and learn all about them and their families. His excitement for life’s events was contagious and will be remembered by all who visited with him. Ronnie Reed was preceded in death by his father, J.R. Reed; and grandparents, Charles and Belle Payne, and Horace and Mae Reed.

Survivors include his mother, Peggy Payne Reed; sister and brother-in-law, Connie and Jim Langford; niece, Carrie Ann Langford; and a host of family members and friends.
