Robert Terrell Willingham, age 57, of Navasota, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, January 18, 2023, in College Station, Texas.
He was born to parents Robert Taylor Willingham and Sylvia (Putz) Willingham on August 28th, 1965, in Bryan, TX. He graduated from Navasota High School in 1984 and was as a proud Navasota Rattler. He loved the outdoors, animals, and fishing. He also was an avid Dallas Cowboys and Texas Aggies football fan and loved playing dominoes with friends and family. He enjoyed family reunions, keeping up with family, listening to gospel music and reading his Bible. He was of the Pentecostal faith.
Robert overcame many obstacles after a traumatic car accident in 1996. He remained jovial, even in the midst of re-learning daily tasks. He kept a child-like spirt and a happy personality every day. He was quite the jokester and always kept a mischievous smile on his face. Robert was very friendly and never met a stranger. He remained a caring and entertaining friend to all.
Robert is preceded in death by his parents; and his sister, Cheryl (King) Schoenewolf.
He is survived by his brothers, Stanley King (Stella) of Gause, Lesley King (Cindy) of Chriesman; and sister, Debbie (King) Huff (Gene) of College Station; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and friends.
The family would like to thank his medical teams for his care over the years and especially the staff at Golden Creek Nursing Home in Navasota where he lived the past 5 years.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.memorialfuneralchapelbryan.com for the Willingham family.
