Edna Tarver

Edna Ruth Tarver, of College Station, died peacefully in her home on Friday, November 10th, 2023, at the age of 75. Edna was born in Bogata, TX to Clifton & Rachel Couch. She married the love of her life, Kenneth Dale Tarver in 1967, and had two children. Edna spent her life as a dedicated wife, mother, sister, and grandmother. Throughout her life she worked mainly in retail, but her true passion was spending time with her grandchildren!

Edna is preceded in death by her husband Kenneth Tarver, daughter Sandra Tarver, sisters Gene Randall, Rita White, Bea Erwin, and brother Herman Couch.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Troy & Laura Tarver, along with three grandchildren, Kayla Bowman, Justin Tarver, and Lexi Tarver. Edna is also survived by her many siblings Billy & Brenda Couch, Barbra & Roy Collins, Julie Stilson, Mary Pivonka and David White of Bryan/College Station. Additional surviving siblings include Linda & Rob Gillingham, Brenda & Clay Hester, Larry & Carolyn Couch, and Edward & Teresa Couch of Arkansas.

Family and Friends are invited to attend a Funeral Service on Wednesday, November 15, 2023 at 11 AM at Memorial Funeral Chapel at 1515 South College Ave, Bryan, Texas 77801 with a Graveside Service to follow at Bryan City Cemetery at 12:40 PM, where she will be laid to rest next to her husband.

There is nothing Edna enjoyed more than a gathering of family and friends, so her church Lifeline Sanctuary will be hosting a celebration in her memory following the graveside service. Please join us to remember the good times and help celebrate this wonderful woman that we all loved so much,

Though we have heavy hearts, we find solace in knowing that she is in a better place.
