Betty Lampo

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 am Tuesday May 9, 2023 at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church with Fr. Raj Selvaraj officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 – 7 pm Monday with a rosary service at 7:00 pm at Memorial Funeral Chapel in Bryan.

Betty was born August 21, 1930 in New Waverly the daughter of Ernie Lee and Lula Mae (Dossey) Becker. She along with her husband Joe owned and operated Lampo’s Grocery for 31 years. She was a longtime member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church.

Betty is preceded in death by her parents; and her husband Joe Lampo.

She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Donald and Shirley Lampo, Anthony and Liz Lampo; daughters and son-in-law, Madelyn and Danny Ramsey, Frances Johnson and fiancé Josh Kinslow; brother, L.H. Becker; sister-in-law, Sally Lampo; grandchildren, Donald Joe Lampo and wife Jennifer, Kelly Gallagher husband Mikey, Brandi Lampo, Kaitlyn Johnson, Grace Lampo, Blane Ramsey and wife Kendel, Tony Lampo and wife Molly and Joshua Johnson; great-grandchildren, Hagan, Mikell, Dannion, Bransen, Briley, Addyson and Kaygan, Arin, Addisyn, Beckett, Tatum, Kenneth, Katelin and Keaton; and great-great grandson, Russell.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Broadmoor Place and Amedisys Hospice for the extraordinary care they gave to Betty.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Meals On Wheels, St. Anthony’s Catholic Church Building Fund or Twin City Mission.
