Alejandro “Alex” C. Tenorio, Sr., 83, of College Station, passed away June 10, 2013 at his home, surrounded by his family. Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, June 12 at Memorial Funeral Chapel with a rosary to be recited at 6:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Thursday, June 13 at Santa Theresa Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Bryan City Cemetery.
Alex was born August 26, 1929 in Pueblo, Colorado to Domingo and Francisca Tenorio. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, uncle, brother and friend. He will be deeply missed by numerous family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his wife Apolonia Rosas Tenorio; son Joseph Tenorio; parents; 1 sister; and 5 brothers.
Survivors include his children Rafaela Tenorio of Bryan, Texas; Carlos R. and wife Fay Tenorio of Bryan; Alex and wife Maggie Tenorio of Brookshire, Texas; Connie and husband Raymond Garcia of College Station; Miguel and wife Josie Muniz of Millican, Texas; one brother, Evaristo Tenorioof Stratford, Texas; one sister, Reyna Hernandez and husband, Tomas of San Antonio, Texas; 11 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Alex worked for Texas A&M University at Sbisa Hall for 18 years and retired from Alenco Industries after 32 years. He was a loyal mall walker, was a fan of the Texas A&M Aggies and boxing.
The family would like to thank the staff of Healthquest Home Health Agency and Hospice Brazos Valley for the care and compassion they showed to their father.
