Willie Mae Vick Woods

Willie Mae “Kat” Vick Woods, 87, of Brunswick, died Sunday, September 14, 2014 at Gracemoore Nursing Home. Funeral services will be held at 11AM Tuesday, September 16, 2014 in the chapel of Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home with Jack Dominey officiating. Interment will follow in Palmetto Cemetery with Michael Woods, Drew Woods, Jason Griner, Josh Adams, Jeff Chapman, and Keith Evans serving as pallbearers. Born April 7, 1927 in Worth County, Georgia to the late Henry L. and Eunice G. Vick, she had been a resident of Glynn County since 1947. She was a secretary at Brunswick Shipyard, and later an operator with Southern Bell. Mrs. Woods was one of Jehovah’s Witnesses and was very faithful to her church. She enjoyed music and socializing with people and was a dedicated mother to her children. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Levi Woods, a sister, Lorene Owens, and a brother John Vick. Survivors include her children, Lisa Evans and husband Keith, David Woods and wife Marjann, and Steve Woods and wife Terri, all of Brunswick, a sister, Joyce V. Griner of Hahira, four grandchildren, Kelly W. Adams, Michael Woods, Drew Woods, and Brittney Evans, two great grandchildren, Hunter Levi Anderson, and Joshua Thomas Adams, three step grandchildren, Trey Owens, Jessica Davis, and Marjanna Markham, and two step great grandchildren, Molly Davis and Caleb Markham.
