Mrs. Buie was a native of Lumber City, GA, and had been a resident of Brunswick for the past 41 years. She was a former Legal Secretary and a Housewife. She was a member of New Life Sanctuary and a former Sunday School Teacher and very active in her Church.
She loved gardening and keeping her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her first husband D.O. McEachin, sons: Larry McEachin and Ronnie McEachin, gand randchildren: Kevin Buie and Keith Buie, her parents: Patrick Henry and Mary Renfro Walker, brothers: James Walker, Leroy Walker, Homer Walker, Elmer Walker, and sisters: Juanita Walker Stanford and Beulah Walker Johnson.
Survivors are her husband, Ralph Kermit Buie of Brunswick, sons: Cadle McEachin (Alicia) of Vidalia, and Rev. Daniel McEachin (Renee) of Tifton, Kermit Buie (Cheryl), Howard Buie (Patricia), Bruce Buie (Terri), Dale Buie (Bridgette) Timothy Buie (Joyce) all of Brunswick, daughters: Patricia Harrell (D.B.), Betty Zeigler (George), Mary Jones (Bill), Dana Faircloth (Quincey) all of Brunswick, and Peggy Garrison (Robbie) of Waxhaw, NC, a brother, Olin Walker (Dolly) of Bonaire, GA, and a sister, Ruth Walker Purvis of Brunswick, 35 grandchildren, 43 great grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held at 11 O’Clock Tuesday, February 1, 2011 in the Christian Renewal Church of Brunswick with Rev. Bill Jones and Rev. Daniel McEachin officiating. Interment will follow at 4 PM in the McEachin and McCormick Cemetery in Hazlehurst, GA.
Active pallbearers will be her grandsons: Shon McEachin, Eddie McEachin, Brian McEachin, Mark McEachin, Dean Buie, Matthew Garrison, Bradley Jones, and Garrett Buie. Honorary pallbearers will be grandsons, great grandsons and great-great grandsons
The family request those wishing may make contributions to the Hospice of the Golden Isles, the American Cancer Society, Glynn County or the Alzheimer’s Association.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Monday, January 31, 2011 in the Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home.
