She was born in Jesup, Georgia on February 12, 1929 to Mitchell and Margaret Johnson. Mary was married to the late Daniel Lamar Peacock. When she was not teaching children she enjoyed sewing and crocheting. She was a member of Taylor’s United Methodist Church.
Mary is survived by her four children, Linda P. Randall, Velvia P. Barbour, Christy P. May and Brian Peacock; her nine grandchildren, Jason Sellers, Donna P. Hutcheson, Dana Peacock, Greyson May, Brianna Peacock, Erica Peacock, Solomon Peacock, Evan Peacock and Jacob Peacock; her siblings, Melba J. Loper and Daniel Lee Johnson.
A memorial service will be held at 6:00pm on Saturday, July 15, 2017 at Taylor’s United Methodist Church with Rev. Don Proctor officiating.
