Leslie Simmons Miller

A celebration of life service will be held at 3:00 PM on Saturday, August 29, 2015 in the Chapel of Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home with Reverend J.W. Griffin officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 3:00 PM prior to the service. Honorary Pallbearers will be Gail Hipkins, Dawn Wilborn, Barbara Brown, Cathy Poppell, Shelly Smith Brown, Brittany Simmons, Amber Rowe, and Cindy Folts.

Mrs. Leslie was a Native of Appling county, but had resided in Darien all her life. She was the daughter of the late Dewey Simmons and Doreata Holland. She attended Armstrong State University where she earned a Bachelor Degree in Business Administration. Leslie and her loving husband were the owners of Soapy Suds Pet Grooming in Darien, Georgia.

Mrs. Leslie was preceded in death by her father, Dewey Simmons and her brother, Gary Simmons. She is survived by her husband, Kenneth I. Miller; a daughter, Jessica DeBarry “Sean” of Darien, GA; a son, Joseph Miller “ Satilla” of Darien, GA; her mother and step-father, Doreata and Eugene Holland of Brunswick, GA; three grandsons, Branden Acree, Donovan Acree, and Jordan Miller all of Darien, GA; a grand-daughter, Charlotte DeBarry of Darien, GA; two brothers, Terry and Keith Simmons, her mother-in law, Ruby Miller. She is also survived by several aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.

Mrs. Leslie enjoyed spending time with her family and loved animals. Her passions for animals lead her to start her own business Soapy Suds Pet Grooming. She also cherished the time spent with her friends. She will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew her. However her family and friends will have many fond memories to cherish forever.
