Kathy McDuffie Still, 60, of Brunswick, departed this life Wednesday, June 29, 2016 at her residence. Funeral services will be held at 11AM Saturday, July 2, 2016 at Bible Baptist Church with Dr. Mike Landrum officiating. Interment will follow in Sardis Cemetery in Charlton County with Stacy Sullens, Mike Barrett, Phil Taylor, David Mixon, Bo Brumberlow, Greg Still serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Seekers Ladies’ Sunday School Class of Bible Baptist Church, Thursday Night Ladies’ Bible Study, Dr. Antonio Moran & Staff, Dr. Marsha Certain, Dr. Kenyon Meadows, Margaret Wright, Vivian Whitfield, Billie Shuman, Christine Plaatje.
Born January 18, 1956 in Commerce, Georgia to Grady D. and Vera L. McDuffie, she was a 1974 Graduate of Habersham Central High School, in Cornelia. She then received her Master’s in Psychology at Georgia Southern University. Mrs. Still was a homemaker and member of Bible Baptist Church. She was a Godly wife, mother, and grandmother who cared deeply about her family, and a wonderful mentor and friend to many, as well as a passionate Bible teacher to her classes. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Leah Joy Still, her father, Grady McDuffie and her brother, Marshall McDuffie.
Survivors include her husband of over 36 years Guy G. Still of Brunswick, Children: Benjamin D. Still of Alpharetta, GA, Sarah E. Taylor (Phil) of Cincinnati, Ohio, Erin R. Mixon (David), Hannah R. Brumberlow (Bo), Caleb M. Still, and Micah J. Still all of Brunswick, a stepchild, Nicole Fulford (Brad) of Blackshear, Grandchildren, Clay Still, Rory Still, Hudson Taylor, Hope Walker, Isaac Walker, step grandchildren, Amber Elias, Ashli Shannon, Nicolas Fulford, and Gage Fulford, step great-grandchild: Jailynn Elias, Mother: Vera McDuffie of Cleveland, GA, a sister, Linda Barrett (Michael) of Cleveland, GA, mother-in-law, Ruby Still of Patterson, brother & sister-in-law, Greg & Terri Still of Waycross, and many nephews and nieces.
The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6PM until 8 PM at Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Bible Baptist Mission Fund. Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home is charge of arrangements. www.edomillerandsons.com
