Joanne Ellen Rodriguez

Joanne Ellen (Dugo) Rodriguez 59-year-old residing in Fernandina Beach, FL passed away Saturday, September 17th, 2022. Joanne was born in Chicago, IL on November 26th, 1962 to parents Mother, Atilia (Barbara) Dugo, Father, Vincent Dugo and Bonus Father, David Nipp.

Joanne is survived by her loving husband of 39 years Amado Rodriguez, her 3 children, Terese Knake (Rodriguez), Diego Rodriguez (Kerstin), and Marisa Rodriguez (Daniel), grandchildren, Isla & Kalen Knake, siblings Charlene Hehn, Gerilyn Dugo, Jill Anne Petric (Scott), Vincent Dugo (Gina), father-in-law Amado Rodriguez Sr., brother-in-law Ulises Rodriguez (Karen), and many nieces and nephews.

She lived her life full of service to others. Raising her children in Melrose Park, IL, she opened her doors to all those in the neighborhood who needed it. She regularly donated to groups that provided toys, food, and shelter to those in need, especially children. She was an avid supporter of St. Jude’s Hospital.

Services will be held at 11am on October 22nd at Resurrection Catholic Church located at 30W350 Army Trail Rd, Wayne, IL 60184. In honor of her wishes, we request that you wear bright colors.
