Gloria Gore Strickland

Gloria was born in Ludowici, Georgia on March 5, 1940 to Pierce Jerome Gore and Mary Virginia Wilcox Gore on the coast of Mcintosh County in Crescent, Georgia.

She graduated from Darien High School in 1958. She attended the Perry Business School in Brunswick, Georgia. She worked as a clerk and secretary in the historic Courthouse in downtown Brunswick. She married her husband, Claude Mason Strickland, Jr, on February 23, 1963. She became a stay at home mom when she had her two children. Later in life, she worked as a secretary and bookkeeper.

Gloria was preceded in death by her father and mother, her sister, Nancy Carolyn Gore Adams and her husband of 33 years, Claude Mason Strickland, Jr.

She is survived by her daughter, Sheryl Strickland Caudle (Russell), a son, Claude Mason Strickland, III (Julie), a grandson, Seth Alexander Caudle, brothers, Robert Gore, Jack Gore, Wayne Gore, and several nephews and nieces.

We will honor her with a graveside service at Palmetto Cemetery on Tuesday, December 10, 2024 with Reverend Jim Crandall officiating. A short visitation at 10:30 a.m. and the service will start at 11:00 a.m.
