Dorothy Louie Williams Davis, 90, of St. Marys, GA died Friday, February 18, 2011 at Senior Care Center-Camden, in St. Marys, GA. Funeral services will be held 4PM Sunday, February20, 2011 in the chapel of Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home with Chaplain Pat McCord officiating.
Born December 17, 1920 in Reidsville, GA to the late James Pinkney and Lula Leona Davis Williams, she was a retired interior decorator. Mrs. Davis was of the Baptist faith. As a stroke survivor she enjoyed fishing, yard sales, gardening, jigsaw puzzles, and especially spending time with her family. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Lester Carwell Davis, two sons, Wayne Davis and Jimmy Davis, two granddaughters and a grandson.
Survivors include three daughters, Jacqueline Ann Conroy and husband William of DeBary, FL, Jerry Melba Carter and husband George of Woodbine, GA, and Regina Joyce Borders and husband Ronald of Waverly, a sister, Estelle Murphy of Jenkins, GA, eight grandchildren, numerous great great and great great great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Sunday afternoon, February 20, 2011 from 2PM until 4 PM at Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to The Heart and Stroke Association, Hospice of The Golden Isles, or Alzheimer’s Association.
