Doris Lafay Willis

Doris LaFay Carroll Willis, 80, died Thursday, August 14, 2014, in her home in Townsend, Georgia. She was born July 1st, 1934 in Toombs County. In 1970 she moved to Townsend, Georgia where she lived with her late husband, James F. Willis (Bobie). She was a loving, caring and dedicated Homemaker, Mother, Grandmother & Sister. She was loved and cherished dearly by her family and friends.

Mrs. Willis was preceded in death by her Late Husband, James F. Willis. Brothers, Herbert Carroll, HB Carroll, Howard Carroll, Joe Carroll and her Sister, Ethel Woods.

Survivors are her children, Nellie Ryals; Townsend, Ga. James (Meta) Willis; Valona, Ga., Frances (Charlie) Rowe; Townsend Ga., Shirley (Tony) Howard; Townsend, Ga., Diane (Rusty) Lamb; Darien, Ga., Alice (Mickey) Ryals; Townsend, Ga. Brother, Archie (Janice) Carroll; Jesup, Ga. Sisters, Johnnie Mae Miller; Brunswick, Ga., & Julie Newsome; Vidalia, Ga. Her grandchildren, Cynthia Lafaye (Rickey) Evans, Mandy Ryals, James Ryals (Lisa Hinshaw), Justin Lamb ( Lindsey Strickland), Brad Willis, Lil Charlie (Ashley) Rowe, Sherry Rozier, Brittany Rozier, Jasmine Rozier, John (Angie) Ryals Darlene Thomas, Mikey Thomas, and Great grandchild, C.J. Rowe and many Nieces & Nephews

Visitation will be held at Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home on August 17, 2014 from 2:00pm to 5:00 pm. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, August 18, 2014 at the Edo Miller and Sons Chapel with the Rev. Danny Stillwell Officiating. Interment will follow at Chapel Park Cemetery.
