David Michael Senior “Mickey”, 61, of Brunswick, Georgia passed away May 23, 2011 at Henry Medical Center in Stockbridge, Georgia. Funeral services will be held Friday, May 27, 2011 at College Place United Methodist Church at 2:00PM with Rev. Tim Brown officiating. . Chief Tobe C. Green, Capt. James Jordan, Lt. Kevin Jones, Sgt. Anthony Smith, Sgt. Richard Meeks, Officer Marsha Myers and Tommy Dixon will be serving pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are the Glynn County Animal Control, Brunswick police Department, Blue Knights Motorcycle Club, the Class of 1968 of Glynn Academy and the City of Brunswick Employees.
The family will receive friends Thursday, May 26, 2011 from 6-8PM at Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home.
Mickey was born June 30, 1949 in Brunswick to Eugene Wilson Senior and Betty Montie Lockerman. He was a 1968 graduate of Glynn Academy and later attended Ware Technical College in 1969. He then worked with Bell South, AT&T and NCR where he retired after 37 years in June of 2006. He was a member of College Place United Methodist Church and St. Francis Xavier. Mickey loved his motorcycle, flying his model airplanes and trains. He participated in charity rides with the Blue Knights and was awarded civilian of the year by the Brunswick City Police Department. Mickey loved life, and his children and enjoyed traveling.
Survivors include his wife: Ann Harvey Senior of Brunswick, his father Eugene Wilson Senior ; 2 sons: Steve Mitchell (Janette) Senior of Brunswick and Christopher Alan (Ashley) Senior of Brunswick; 1 daughter: Crystal Michelle Senior (Dustin) Davis of Brunswick; 2 step-daughters: Rebecca Ann (Loren) Gravley of Brunswick and Genevieve Mary (David) Smith of St. Mary’s, GA; a brother: Kevin Eugene (Lisa) Senior of Lavonia, GA; a sister: Leah Marie (Greg) Straub of Middleburg, FL; 10 grandchildren: Lauren, Claire, Gunnar, Shelby, Leland, Emma, Ella, Hayleigh, Haeydden and Brittany; 2 nieces: Shelly and Elizabeth; and 2 nephews: Stewart and Aaron. He is predeceased by his mother: Betty Montie Lockerman and his first wife: Wilma Dene Carroll Senior.
