Mrs. Bryant was born in Saratoga, Ark., on March 4, 1932. She graduated from Ward Belmont College where she met Charlie Bryant, Sr. and later they were married on September 9, 1951. They were married 58 years.
She was an active member of the First Baptist Church of Brunswick where she taught Sunday school for many years in the 3 year old department. Mrs. Bryant blessing was to serve others at the “Clara Bryant Beauty Shop and Edo Miller Funeral Home.
Mrs. Bryant was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Emory Choate, Brother Henry Choate, Sister Irene Choate Vorhease
Survivors are a daughter, Kathy B. Smith (Robert), a son, Charlie Bryant (Ann) both of Savannah, Ga., granddaughter, Tori Easom (William), great grandson, Ayden William Easom, a brother, John Choate, a sister, Kathryn Owens and several nieces and nephews.
Memorial Services will be held at 11 AM Saturday 9/25/10 in the Chapel of the Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home with Rev. Tommy McMillan, Rev. Jimmy Crandall and Rev. Dwight Durbin (Savannah) officiating. Interment will be private in Palmetto Cemetery in Brunswick.
The family will receive friends in the Funeral Home from 10 to 11 AM Saturday.
Honorary pallbearers will be; Robert C. Smith, William Easom, Mr. and Mrs. David Cook, Raymond Mock, Mr. and Mrs. John Lavvorn, Mr. and Mrs. William Strickland, Mr. and Mrs. Ron Dempsey, Mrs. Patti Durbin, Mrs. Dean Cannon, Ms. Blenda Sairman, Peter Vivenzio, Caregivers: Christine Hall and Brenda Robinson.
