It is with great sadness that the family of Christopher Stevens announces his passing on Monday, January 14, 2019 at the age of 62. Chris was born in Boston, Massachusetts in the middle of a blizzard on March 30, 1956. He grew up in Dover, Massachusetts. He was a lifelong New England Patriots fan. Chris will be lovingly remembered by his wife and best friend of 36 years, Karen, and his children: son Keith (and daughter-in-law Eugenia), son Nick (and daughter-in-law Ashlee), and son Ryan (and daughter-in-law Haley). Chris will also be greatly missed by his precious grandchildren Penelope, Lukas, Rosalie, Anastasia, and Jasper. They were his joy. He was an amazing husband, father, and grandfather. He lived his life for his family and had so much love in his heart for them. He also leaves behind a beloved nephew and niece, Alex and Jennifer Kline, along with his father-in-law, Ed Koch, and brothers-in-law, Ed and Bill Koch. Chris is predeceased by his loving mother, Barbara, and his cherished sister, Debra, along with his maternal grandparents who meant the world to him. His mother-in-law, Jean Koch, also, predeceased him.
Chris was dedicated to his loving family. He was an avid sports fan. He also enjoyed classic cars and motorcycle racing. Chris volunteered for Sunday School, Little League baseball and Boy Scouts while his boys were growing up. He loved his dogs and cats as well. He liked playing the guitar and rock and roll, especially the Rolling Stones.
A vigil service will be held 6 p.m., Monday, January 21, 2019 at Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home, followed by a reception at 6:30 pm. – 8 pm.
A funeral mass is to be conducted at 11 am., Tuesday, January 22, 2019 at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 405 Howe St.in Brunswick, where Father Timothy McKeown and Deacon Larry Guyer is to officiate. A family private inurnment will follow the service.
