

Beth was the youngest of five children born to Gordon W. White and Grace Goocher White of Blakey, Georgia. She is preceded in death by her parents, a sister Lounette Marshall, brothers Gordon, James and Leonard White, her husband Carlton A. Morrison and her son, James Michael Morrison.
Raised on a farm where she claimed she picked cotton as a child, Beth graduated from Blakely High School, then continued her education at Sullin’s College in Bristol, VA and the University of Georgia. She was teaching elementary school in Atlanta when she met Carlton and began a lifetime together which lasted 67 years. Carlton and Beth loved to travel, dragging their three children, Carl, Mike and Pam with them.
Beth spent 30 years educating and caring for children, first in second grade, then in special education. After returning to college and completing her masters and six year degree in special education, Beth was employed as a teacher and administrator in the Glynn County, Camden County and McIntosh County school systems.
Following retirement, Beth continued traveling with Carlton, attending College Place Methodist Church where she was a charter member and spending quality time with her grandson Tommy.
Beth is survived by her son Carl (Patsy), daughter Pam Timbes, Bubba Timbes and grandson Tommy (Meme).
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, May 3, 2025 at 11:00 am at College Place Methodist Church.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that contributions be made to College Place Methodist Church or Manna House.
