Aubrey Thomas Alston Sr.

Mr. Alston was a native of Miller County, Georgia and had been a resident of Brunswick since 1968 retiring from the U.S. Navy at Glynco after 22 years. He retired from the Federal Law Enforcement Center after 21 years of service. He was a member of the Norwich Baptist Church in Brunswick.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Garvis and Wilma B. Alston and a sister, Desma Williams.

Survivors are his wife, Virginia R. Alston of Brunswick, a son, Aubrey T. Alston, Jr., of Brunswick, two daughters, Linda Wells (Anthony) of Donaldsonville, Ga. and Robin Middleton of Brunswick, grandchildren, Denise Hawthorne (Tommie) of Brinson, Ga., Jamie Jones of Donaldsonville, Ga., Randy Amerison of Donaldsonville and Stephanie Middleton of Brunswick, two brothers, Russell Alston and Raymond Alston both of Belle Glade, Fl., and eight great grandchildren and several nieces and nephew.

Funeral Services will be held at 11 AM Monday 9/20/10 in the Chapel of the Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home with Rev. Earl Parrish officiating. Interment with Full Military Honors will be held in Chapel Park Cemetery.

Honorary Pallbearers will be member of the Brunswick Masonic Lodge #717.

The family will receive friends in the Funeral Home from 4 to 6 PM Sunday afternoon and request donations to the Hospice of the Golden Isles, 1692 Glynco parkway, Brunswick, Ga. 31525.
