Ubaldo Cavazos Jr.

Ubaldo Cavazos Jr. (JR) graduated from James Pace HS in 1979. He pursued his dream of becoming a professional dance instructor at Fred Astaire Dance Studio in Corpus Christi, TX and settled in Houston, TX as an independent ballroom dance instructor for30 years. JR traveled the world as an International Ballroom dance instructor, achieving many awards and championship titles and was recognized for his choreography of dance throughout the dance industry. JR adored his kids, family, friends, and his students. He was a kind and loving person and will be dearly missed.

He is preceded in death by his father, Sr. Ubaldo Cavazos.

Left to cherish his loving memory are his mother, Beatrice Cavazos; his brothers, Daniel Cavazos Sr. and Joseph Cavazos Sr.; his sisters, Linda Lopez and Sandra Lopez; his children, Joshua Ryan Cavazos and Desire Kristin Cavazos from Houston, TX along with many nieces and nephews as well as grand-aunts and cousins.

Visitations will be taking place on Tuesday, August 13, 2013 from 5:30pm-9pm with a rosary at 7pm at Funeraria Del Angel Buena Vista.

A funeral mass will be held at 10am on Wednesday, August 14, 2013 at St. Mary’s Mother of the Church 1914 Barnard Rd. All services will conclude after the funeral mass.

Serving as pallbearers will be Daniel Cavazos Sr., Joseph Cavazos Sr., Micael Joseph Campbell, Edward Colton Lopez, Julian Dylan Lopez, Juana Torres, Joseph Cavazos Jr., and Jesse Valma.
