Sergio G. Ortiz Sr.

Mr. Ortiz is preceded in death by his last born son Ezequiel Ortiz (1979) and his parents Luis Ortiz and Eduarda Gonzales.

Sergio is survived by his faithful and loving wife of 54 years of marriage Bertha R. Ortiz and 10 children; Teresa Alonzo, Berta O. Ortiz, (Alejandro Ortiz), Sergio Ortiz Jr., Raquel Arzola, Luis Ortiz, (Phyllis Ortiz), Marcos R. Ortiz, Ester Schellhorn, Eduarda Ortiz, Altagracia Ortiz, Soledad Ortiz- Paniagua. He also leaves behind 19 grandchildren, Sarita Shelton being the first to bring joy to his heart as a grandfather. He doted on all of his grandchildren and had a special bond with his granddaughter Venessa L. Ortiz. The Lord blessed him with four beautiful great-grandchildren as well.

Sergio G. Ortiz Sr. leaves his family a legacy to love and serve Jesus Christ in spirit and truth. He had a passion for sharing the gospel and had prepared to meet his Creator since he received salvation through God’s grace. His family bids him a peaceful farewell: His lord said unto him, well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord. – Mathew 25:21

Visitation will be held at Funeraria Del Angel Buena Vista on Thursday, May 23, 2013, from 10am to 9pm with a Prayer Service at 7pm.

The Chapel Service will take place Friday, May 24, 2013 at 10am at Funeraria Del Angel Buena Vista with a committal service at Buena Vista Burial Park.
