Rodolfo Solis Jr.

Rudy is survived by his wife, Aurora Gomez-Solis, his four beautiful children, Paola Cicel, Karina Alejandra, Diego Alejandro and Daniela, his parents, Rodolfo and Josefina Solis, his sister, Rosey Solis-Guerra, and his brother, Clyde Soto-Solis. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Roberto and Ester Solis and Santana and Josefina Lopez.

Rudy was born on July 4, 1973, and was a lifelong resident of Brownsville, Texas. He graduated from Gladys Porter High School in 1991 and earned his Bachelor’s degree from the University of Texas at Brownsville. He was a devoted parishioner of Christ the King Catholic Church and an Account Sales Representative at HOLT CAT.

On December 26, 2002, he married the love of his life, Aurora Gomez. Together they shared a life of happiness with their four beautiful children who were the center of his world.

Rudy was a devoted son, husband, and father who loved the outdoors. He was an avid golfer and fisherman who loved to barbecue for family and friends. Rudy was the life of the party, always with a smile, a story to tell, and laughter to share. He had a kind and loving heart and made it a priority to help those in need. He will be forever missed.

Visitation will be Wednesday, December 30th, from 1-9pm with a rosary at 7pm at Funeraria del Angel Buena Vista. Mass will be at 1pm, Thursday, December 31st at Christ the King Catholic Church followed by the burial at Buena Vista Burial Park.

In remembrance of Rudy’s life, the family asks that any charitable donations be made to his children’s college funds.
