Olivia G. Garcia

entered into eternal rest on January 12, 2021 in Brownsville, Texas. Olivia was a wonderful mother and even better grandmother. She did nothing but love everyone. Olivia worked for Brownsville Independent School District for 17 years and First Baptist Church for 30 years. To know her was to love her, but to meet her was a gift. Love you darling!

Olivia is preceded in death by her loving husband Javier E. Garcia, her parents Atenogenes "Tito" Garza and Paula Pineda Garza, her sister Irma Guerrero, and brother Jesse Garza.

Left to cherish her memory is her daughter Olivia Garcia Castillo, son-in-law Luis A. Castillo, daughter Noemi Garcia Martinez, son-in-law Michael "Mikie" Martinez, son Javier E. Garcia, daughter-in-law Vanessa Hernandez Garcia, daughter Michelle Garcia, son-in-law Rick Alaniz, sister Yolanda Lopes, and brother Juan Garza. The loves of her life are her grandchildren: Ryan Garcia, Sofia Martinez, Avy Alaniz, Michael Urijah Martinez, and soon to be grandson Ezekiel Eliazar Garcia.

Pallbearers will be Luis A. Castillo, Michael Martines, Rick Alaniz, Javier E. Garcia, Ryan Garcia, and Aaron Lopes.

Visitation will begin Friday, January 15, 2021 from 1 pm to 9 pm with a prayer service at 7 pm at Funeraria Del Angel Buena Vista. Mass will be held Saturday, January 16, 2021 at 11 am at First Baptist Church followed by a burial at Buena Vista Burial Park.
