Maria "Lucy" De La Luz Rodriguez

Lucy was a loving, devoted wife, mother and daughter. She was a very high spirited, generous, friendly, outspoken, and sassy person. She loved her family dearly. Always thinking of others, she would give a helping hand without hesitation. She was loved by many and she enjoyed dancing, cooking, baking, singing and most of all spending quality time with her grandchildren.

Lucy is survived by her husband, Felix Rodriguez Jr.; her son Felix Rodriguez III (Sylvia); her daughter Lucy Michelle Rodriguez; her daughter Bambie Jenelle Rodriguez (John); and her son Troy Rodriguez (Christie); her brother Jorge Rodriguez (Andrea), her brother Jesus Rodriguez (Estefana †), her brother Guillermo Rodriguez and her sister Elizabeth Ruvalcaba (Juan); her granddaughter Brittney Nicole Paredes (Brian), her granddaughter Mikaela Christine Rodriguez, her granddaughter Bridgette Michelle Guerrero, her grandson Brandon Michael Guerrero, her grandson Jose Luis Guerrero Jr., her grandson Miklo Seth Rodriguez, her great granddaughter Talitha Victoria Troncoso, her great granddaughter Rihanna Renee Gonzalez, her great granddaughter Aubree Arielle Gonzalez and her great granddaughter Elida Ramirez.

Lucy was preceded in death by her mother Josefina Vasquez Rodriguez † and her father Emilio Rodriguez †; her sister Maria Angelica Lerma †; her brother Alberto Rodriguez †; her brother Jose Israel Rodriguez † and her brother Crispin Rodriguez †; her grandmother Petra Moreno †, and her granddaughter Jelissa Marie Cisneros †.

A visitation for Lucy will be held Friday, June 3, 2022 from 1:00 PM to 9:00 PM in Chapel of Angels at Funeraria del Angel Buena Vista, 125 Mcdavitt Blvd, Brownsville, Texas 78521. A chapel service will occur Saturday, June 4, 2022 at 10:00 AM in Chapel of Angels, 125 Mcdavitt Blvd, Brownsville, Texas 78521. Lucy will be laid to rest in Buena Vista Burial Park, 5 Mcdavitt Blvd, Brownsville, Texas 78521.

Serving as pallbearers are Brandon Michael Guerrero, Jose Luis Guerrero Jr., Brian Paredes, Miklo Seth Rodriguez, Enrique Guerrero, Andy Arellano, Omar Rodriguez, Jesse Errisuriz and Guillermo Rodriguez.
