Luis Rosas, Jr. was involved in the community with Charros days Asst. and into politics. He was a Brownsville musician and a conjunto pioneer legend from the 60’s. He also gave classes for guitar lessons. He belonged to the Church of Christ. He would help people in their daily lives. He was an inspiration to his kids and family. He was a loving father, grandfather and brother. Luis Rosas, Jr. will be greatly missed by his family and friends. He has joined his beloved wife and mother in the kingdom of God.
We would like to thank everybody who has joined us in our loss of a great man. He was well known and had many friends, who he would meet at his favorite places in Brownsville Coffee Shop, Whataburger and Mcdonald’s.
Mr. Rosas is preceded in death by his wife, Cristina A. Rosas; mother, Apolinia Pina Coronado; daughter in law, Diana Rosas; sisters, Juanita Coronado and Rosa Garcia and brother, Alberto Coronado.
He is survived by sons; Guadalupe (Clara), Ruben (Cris), and Reynaldo (Rey) (Irma); daughter, Nora C. Rosas Cervantes (Tony); 27 grandchildren and 51 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 2pm – 9pm on Thursday, November 3, 2011 at Funeraria Del Angel Mausoleum and from 10 am – 9 pm with a prayer service at 7 pm on Friday, November 4, 2011 at Funeraria Del Angel Buena Vista Chapel.
Chapel Service will be held at 10 am on Saturday, November 5, 2011 at Funeraria Del Angel Buena Vista Chapel.
Serving as pallbearers will be Luis Rosas III, Omar Rosas, David Luis Rosas, Ruben Rosas, Jr, Randy Rosas, Rey Rosas, Jr. and Rocky Rosas.
