Jose P. Espinoza

Jose P. Espinoza, 65, passed away on Wednesday, March 17, 2010 in Brownsville, Texas surrounded by his loving family. He retired from University of Texas in Brownsville after being employed there for 32 years. He was also employed with Mercy Hospital (Valley Baptist) for 5 years.

He is preceded in death by his father, Pedro Espinoza; mother, Margarita Solis Espinoza; brother, Guadalupe Espinoza; several aunts and uncles.

He is survived by his wife, Felipa R. Espinoza; daughters, Monica V. Espinoza, Martha P. Espinoza (Gonzales) and Maria C. Espinoza (Padron); grandson, Joshua A. Padron; sisters, Rebecca Espinoza (Barajas) and Hilda Espinoza; brother, Matias Espinoza; uncle, Domingo Hernandez; aunt, Isabel Lopez and niece, Beatriz Hinojosa (Rodriguez).

Visitation will be held from 12pm to 9pm with a rosary to be recited at 7pm on Sunday, march 21, 2010 at Funeraria Del Angel Buena Vista.

A Mass will be held at 10am on Monday, March 22, 2010 at Our Lady of Good Council Catholic Church with a committal service to follow at Buena Vista Burial Park.

Serving as pallbearers will be Roberto Cortinas, Steven Gonzales, Richard Martinez, Ernesto Padron, Ricardo Rios and Richard Tamayo. Honorary pallbearers will be Margarito Barajas, Joshua Padron and Albino Ruiz.
