Guadalupe P. Ramos

“God created mothers, for he knew there had to be; A very special person who could guide a family. He gave them warmth and tenderness and lots of love to share. He taught them how to listen and showed them how to care. He sent them here to guide us, from the moment of our birth. God’s very best Creation was my mom here on earth.”

She was the most loving, caring and devoted delicate soul. She was a part of the Guadalupanas.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Jesus Maria Ramos; mother, Micaela Revilla Parra; son, Miguel Angel Ramos; aunt, Maria Martinez; daughters, Guillermina R. Atkinson and Maria del Socorro Gonzalez.

Guadalupe is survived by her children, Maria de Jesus Longoria (Martin) of Brownsville, Veronica Ramos of Michigan, Jose Miguel Ramos, Maria Concepcion Ramos, Lucia Garcia of Brownsville, Francisco Ramos (Sylvia) of San Benito, Reyna Guadalupe Ybarra (Larry) of League City, Patricia Johnston (Timothy) of Austin; one sister, Candelaria Zuñiga of Matamoros; along with 26 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was the most loving, caring and devoted delicate soul. She was a part of the Guadalupanas.

Visitation will be held from 10am to 9pm with the recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7pm on Thursday, August 11, 2011 at Funeraria Del Angel Buena Vista.

Mass of the Resurrection will be held at 2pm on Friday, August 12, 2011 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 1200 E. Lincoln, Brownsville,Texas with burial to follow at RoseLawn Memorial Gardens.

Serving as pallbearers will be Veronica Ramos, Jose Miguel Ramos, Francisco Ramos, Jesus Esteban Ramos, Francisco Javier Hernandez, and Enrique Alberto Hernandez. Honorary pallbearer will be Martin P. Longoria.
