Gilberto AKA "Pansoni" was a humble, kind, and loving person. Born in Brownsville Tx to parents Adriana N. and Gilberto Gonzalez. He was so so knowledgeable, always enlightening us with many things he knew. He was always down to participate on family activities that were going on. His green bean casserole dish along with his glazed ham at Thanksgiving will surely be missed. He will always remain the first grandson from the family. Enjoyed football, favorite football team was the Dallas Cowboys. He enjoyed all kinds of movies but especially mafia and western movies. He enjoyed outdoor grilling especially making steaks. Christmas season and the holidays were his favorites. Always giving presents to his nephews and nieces. We will always remember him with his smile.
Gilberto is survived by his father Gilberto Gonzalez, brother Alejandro Gonzalez (Cindy Ibarra), sister Joy I. Gonzalez (Noe Builtron), brother Jay L. Gonzalez (Elvira Martinez) and brother Michael H. Gonzalez (Maria D. Soto Gonzalez).
Gilberto was preceded in death by his mother Adriana N. Martinez Gonzalez, grandmother Maria Dorothea Garcia, uncle Manuel Martinez, aunt Gracie Martinez, and uncle Armando Gonzalez.
Mr. Gonzalez also leaves 21 nephews and nieces to cherish his memory.
A visitation for Gilberto will be held Monday, November 18, 2024 from 2:00 pm to Tuesday, November 19, 2024, 8:00 am at Funeraria Del Angel Rose Lawn. A continued visitation will occur Tuesday, November 19, 2024 from 11:00 am to 10:00 pm with a rosary at 7:00 pm at Funeraria Del Angel Rose Lawn. A mass will occur Wednesday, November 20, 2024 at 9:30 am at San Felipe De Jesus Catholic Church followed by a burial at 11:00 am at Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens.
Serving as pallbearers are Alejandro Gonzalez, Jay Leo Gonzalez, Michael H. Gonzalez, Alejandro Gonzalez Jr., Jay L.Gonzalez Jr., Michael H. Gonzalez II, Jorge Cuevas and Richard Garcia.
