Fernando "Rod" Rodriguez

Specialist Fernando Rodriguez from Brownsville, Texas, was assigned to the 65th Military Police Company (Airborne), 503d Military Police Battalion (Airborne) as a Military Police Officer. He joined the U.S. Army July 30, 2009. Specialist Rodriguez, 23, was a phenomenal Paratrooper and friend during his time of service in the 65th MP CO (ABN). Mr. Rodriguez is preceded in death by his grandparents, Juan Martinez and Maria Yañez.

Fernando is survived by his mother, Blanca D. Martinez; sister, Mara Y. Castillo; and his brother, Luis A. Leal.

Visitation will be held Saturday, August 2, 2014 from 1:00p.m. to 9:00p.m., with a Prayer Service to be conducted at 7:00p.m. and Visitation will continue August 3, 2014 from 12:00p.m. to 9:00p.m.

Chapel Service will be held Monday, August 4, 2014 at 10:00a.m. at Funeraria Del Angel Buena Vista, followed by committal service at Buena Vista Burial Park.
