Mr. Flores was a proud Veteran who was an active Lifetime member/Commander of the American Legion. He was also an active member of the Veteran of Foreign Wars. Mr. Flores served our community as a police officer, retiring from the Brownsville Police Department after 35 years. Feliciano Flores proudly served in the United States Army Airforce while stationed in Japan during WWII. He dedicated 35 years of service to the people of Brownsville and the Brownsville Police Department. He began as a parole man and retired as a Sergeant and detective. He was a disciplined man but a gentle soul. His proudest accomplishment was always family. He remained a devoted husband even in the years that followed the passing of his beloved Angel. In his quiet moments, he would sit, twiddle his thumbs, and smile his sweet smile as he stared off. His precious little Rose, his pride the Navy boy, loving Christinita, adorado hijo, and chiquita mía were basis behind that smile. His humbling words as he reminisced echoed with pride, love and awe. His love will forever be missed.
He is preceded in death by his parents: Feliciano Flores Sr. and Concepcion Garza Flores; his wife Angelita Rocha Flores; his daughter Linda Concepcion Velasco.
Left to cherish his memory are his children, Rosa M. (Armando) Reyes, Luis M. ( Angie) Flores, Christy ( Conrad) Muñoz, Felix Flores and Angelita ( Rogelio) Tejada; 9 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
