Astrid loved spending time with her family especially her children. She loved playing piano, spending her time fishing and listening to country music. She also loved to collect anything to do with turtles. She battled any life challenges with a smile always. She stayed strong until the very end and came out a hero to all of us. Her greatest accomplishment in life were her 3 daughters, Alexandra, Isabella and Alyssa. She was both mother and father to her children and always showed them how to be strong even though there were times that life wanted to tell them they were not. She was always grateful to her parents, Abel and Emilia, for always helping her until the very end. Their love, and kindness will always be remembered by Astrid and her children. She loved her family and always was thankful for the help and support they showed her every day.
Astrid is survived by her daughters Alexandra Denise De La Rosa; Isabella Astrid De La Rosa; and Alyssa De La Rosa; her father Abel Villarreal and mother Emilia López Villarreal; her sisters Claudia Celeste Villarreal and Karina Iris Villarreal Hutcherson, her brother-in-law Keith Hutcherson; her nephew Jaxton Abel Hutcherson, her grandson Rowan Einar Ornelas, her grandson Dylan Gael Ortiz and her grandmother Aurelia G. Lopez.
Astrid was preceded in death by her grandfather Gregorio López†.
A visitation for Astrid will be held Sunday, March 19, 2023 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM with a rosary at 6:00 PM and a chapel service at 7:00 PM in Chapel of Angels at Funeraria del Angel Buena Vista, 125 Mcdavitt Blvd, Brownsville, Texas 78521.
