Richard A. Perales

He leaves behind his beloved wife, Valerie; daughters, Lily (22 months) and Lacy (newborn); parents, Robert and Patricia Shaw; in-laws, Richard and Alene Godwin; siblings, Andrew Perales, Sara Shaw, Patrick Shaw (Brittany); grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends. He is preceded in death by his three daughters, Abigail, Brooke, and Claire.

Ricky was born September 4, 1987 and joined the U.S. Army Reserve while still in high school after which he became a Military Police SGT and was deployed to Iraq. Soon after his return he met the love of his life and soulmate, Valerie Godwin, also of Brooksville. Ricky was a loving husband, wonderful father, avid outdoorsman, musician, handyman, and a true friend.

There are no words for how he will be missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00am, Friday, June 10, 2022 at The Rock Church. Interment will follow at Florida National Cemetery at 2:30pm, with military honors.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made in his memory to the educational fund for his daughters, Lily and Lacy, at the Suncoast Credit Union.
