Born March 26, 1943 in Brooklyn, New York, he came to Spring Hill 43 years ago from Valley Stream, New York. He was a sanitation worker for the state, a veteran of the United States Navy, USS Albany CG-10, a member of the Teamsters Union, New York, owner of Hatcher's Disposal in Spring Hill, Florida and a parishioner of St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church.
He is survived by his wife, Anna; sons and daughters-in-law, Christopher & Mauriah Lamia of Spring Hill, Florida and Scott & Laura Lamia of Spring Hill, Florida; daughter and son-in-law, Lisa & Jon Odalen of Parker, Colorado; sister, Joy Sullivan of Spring Hill, Florida; five grandchildren, Nicholas Lamia, Laney Lamia, Ethan Lamia, Liam Odalen and Amelia Lamia; and one great-grandchild, Carson Lamia.
A memorial mass will be celebrated at 11:00am, Friday October 16, 2020, at St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church. Inurnment and military honors will follow at the Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell.
