Doris Lee Daniel

Born May 13, 1929 and a lifelong resident of Brooksville, she was the daughter of the late General Ernest Lee and Beatrice Maime (Jones) Lee. Doris was a Hernando High School graduate and voted “Most Dignified” by her senior classmates. She attended Florida State University and worked in sales at Lingles’ Department Store, was a secretary for Withlacoochee River Electric, and was co-owner of W. Clyde Daniel Construction, Inc.

She was a faithful servant to the Lord and honored as the oldest and longest member of Spring Lake United Methodist Church where she remained an active member in the church she called home all her life.

She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, W. Clyde Daniel. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Doris Ann Daniel Borgialli & Craig Borgialli of Brooksville; son and daughter-in-law, W. Michael & Sally Daniel of Brooksville; grandchildren, James “Jamie” E. Spencer III (Abby) of Brentwood, Tennessee, Lee Ann Bearden (Bob) of Nashville, Tennessee, B.J. Daniel Phillips (Frank) of Brooksville, and Katina Maggard Real (Mike) of Highland Village, Texas; great-granddaughters, Kathryn McGuire Spencer, Aubrey Claire Spencer, and Ren Daniel Spencer; and great-grandson, Asher Clyde Smiecinski.

A Visitation for family and friends will be held from 2:00-3:00pm, Sunday, September 8, 2024 at Spring Lake United Methodist Church (4191 Spring Lake Hwy, Brooksville, FL 34601) where Funeral Services begin at 3:00pm. A Graveside Service will follow at Spring Lake Cemetery (26525 Ernest Lee Road, Brooksville, FL 34602).
