Brian Robert Hart

HART, Brian R.– Husband of Cynthia A. Hart, for over 41 years (but been in love with her for over 44). Stepfather to Karyn K. Franks, Grandfather to Orion K. Silva. With his marriage to Cindy in 1981, he found true love. His marriage to Cindy is the most important thing in his life.  He loved being a Stepfather to his daughter Karyn. He had the unexpected pleasure being a grandfather to Orion.

He was a member of the ‘Adventurer’s Club’, an explorer and world traveler: Enjoyed camping and fishing and the outdoors, loved viewing wildlife, and was a friend of animals. He loved his cats.  He took pleasure in visits to WDW. Discovered cruising in 2004 and was able to add to the number of countries he visited. In England, he was able to see Stonehenge, London, Kensington Gardens, Hampton Court Palace, the Cotswold’s, York and Oxford. In Scotland, he visited Edinburgh and Gretna Green. Got to see Cardiff, Wales and some of the lovely countryside. Ireland was among his favorite places. He kissed the Blarney Stone three times…like he needed the gift of gab! He was overjoyed to walk with his wife, Cindy, thru the towns and villages and even through some fields of cows to visit Irish ruins. Loved the beauty of Galway, Waterford, the Ring of Kerry, and the city of Dublin.

  Visited Ireland four times. Was proud that not only had he brought his wife to the top of the Rock of Gibraltar, but also visited Paris, enjoying a lunch cruise down the Seine River and visiting the Eiffel Tower. Also was able to see parts of the Faroe Islands and spent a couple of days touring Iceland. In 2016, to celebrate their 35th anniversary, they were able to visit the Grand Canyon, Bryce Canyon, and Zion National Park; as well as take a fifteen-day cruise to Hawaii. Managed to travel to Alaska and fell in love with all the nature: whales, bears, eagles, otters, and the Mendenhall glacier. In 2018, got to visit up close, the Leaning Tower of Pisa, see some of Tuscany, Villefrance, Marseille and Barcelona.

  Brian was outgoing, and until recently, was never at a loss for words. He was employed in the health care field for over 33 years, financing the means to enjoy life. Brian set a standard for himself which he called the ‘Mirror test’. Each day, he would look in the mirror and ask himself if he had been a good person that day (not a perfect person, but one who strove to do good). He usually was able to pass this test. He loved his daughter, Karyn and was proud of her achievements. He was also proud of his grandson, Orion. He felt blessed having a great wife, a great daughter and a grandson that he dearly loved. He loved his friends and had lots of good times together. For sure, he felt like a very lucky man, who had a wonderful life.

A gathering of family and friends will be from 4-5:00pm, Tuesday, May 24, 2022 at Merritt Funeral Home, Spring Hill chapel with a memorial service beginning at 5:00pm.
