Bill E. Futrell

FUTRELL, Bill E., 84, of Spring Hill, Florida passed away Sunday, February 13, 2022, at Regional Medical Center Bayonet Point, in Hudson, Florida. He was born April 16, 1937, in Cadiz, Kentucky to Thurman and Katie (Burnette) Futrell. Bill relocated to Florida in 2003 from Garden City, Michigan. He was a supervisor in the automotive manufacturing field and was employed by General Motors. Bill served in the United States Army during the Vietnam era. He was Baptist by faith. Bill was a licensed pilot that flew Cessna aircrafts and helicopters. He was a musician that enjoyed playing the guitar, and even taught music.

Preceded in death by his father: Thurman Futrell; mother: Katie Futrell; sisters: Sue McCracken; and Bettie Adams. Survivors include his beautiful wife: Joyce Futrell of Spring Hill, Florida; son: Anthony Futrell of Dearborn, Michigan; stepson: Darrel Bowlin of Gaylord, Michigan; brother: Larry Futrell of Westland, Michigan.

Services will be held at Merritt Funeral Home Spring Hill Chapel on Friday, February 25, 2022, visitation begins at 10:00am-11:00am and funeral services follow at 11:00am.
